1. Account Registration

1. Account Details

When you register an account on 未读书店 https://weidubook.com/ (the “Website”), you must provide a valid email address and create a password. You are responsible for all activity carried out under these login details, so please keep them confidential.

If you suspect your password has been compromised, reset it immediately and notify us if needed.

If your details change—e.g., billing address—please update your account profile or inform us promptly.

2. About Us & Contract Formation

1. Who We Are

This Website is operated by We Read Ltd (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” “Our”), registered at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Our registered number is 16092646.

2. When a Contract is Formed

A contract for any purchase made through the Website is formed once We accept and confirm your order.

We must receive full payment for the goods before we can accept your order and dispatch them.

After you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This does not constitute acceptance. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the goods and take payment.

3. Price Errors & Withdrawal of Orders

We may withdraw from any contract if there is an obvious error or inaccuracy (e.g., incorrect pricing). If we discover a pricing error for goods you’ve ordered, we will notify you by email. You can choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

If we cannot contact you, the order is treated as cancelled, and you will be refunded any sums already paid.

3. Cancellation & Returns (Consumers Only)

1. Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer (not purchasing on behalf of a business), you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

Exceptions may apply to goods that are sealed for health/hygiene or copyright reasons (e.g., CDs, DVDs, certain software) and have been unsealed.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel, inform us in writing (email or post) before the cancellation period ends.

If you already received the goods, you must return them to the address provided at your own cost and risk (unless the goods are faulty/damaged).

3. Refunds

Once we receive your valid cancellation and (if applicable) the returned goods, we will refund any sums paid as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods or your notice of cancellation, whichever is later.

We reserve the right to deduct for any loss in value if it results from unnecessary handling beyond what’s needed to inspect the goods.

4. Business Buyers

The above consumer cancellation rights do not apply to business buyers.

4. Availability & Payment

1. Stock Limitations

We may occasionally limit how many copies of a book or product you can order due to limited stock or special editions.

If stock is insufficient or you exceed any imposed limit, we will notify you. We’ll dispatch the part of your order we can fulfill and refund the remainder.

2. Price and Payment

All prices on the Website are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to display correct prices; in case of an error, refer to [Section 2.3].

Payment is typically processed at dispatch. If we cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you and refund any amount charged.

5. Promotions & Offers

1. Multi-Buy Offers & Discounts

From time to time, we may run multi-buy promotions (e.g., “3 for 2”). The lowest-priced item is usually the free one.

Prices shown do not include postage and packing. Promotional pricing applies only to eligible items.

2. Discount Codes

Discount codes are valid only once per person, per transaction, and cannot be combined with other offers.

They do not apply to gift cards, eGifts, or partner sites unless explicitly stated.

We reserve the right to withdraw or cancel any promotion at any time.

6. Delivery of Goods

1. Dispatch & Delivery

We will dispatch goods to the address you specify. Delivery times stated on the Website are estimates.

We aim to deliver within 30 days from dispatch unless otherwise stated.

Ownership of goods transfers to you upon dispatch from our distribution centre.

2. International Shipping

If delivering outside the UK, you (or the named consignee) are responsible for any customs clearance, duties, local taxes, or import restrictions.

We have no control over these charges and recommend checking with local customs for more details.

3. eGifts

eGift orders are generally non-exchangeable and non-refundable (subject to your statutory rights). Your cancellation right usually ends once the eGift is electronically delivered, unless otherwise required by law.

7. Customs Charges

For orders delivered outside the UK, you may be subject to VAT, customs duties, or other local charges in the destination country. These are not included in our prices and must be borne by you.

8. Our Liability

1. Incorrect or Faulty Goods

If the goods delivered are incorrect, damaged, or defective, or if the quantity is wrong, you must notify us within 10 working days of receipt. We will, at our discretion:

a) Correct any shortage or non-delivery

b) Replace or repair damaged/defective goods

c) Refund the amount paid for the goods in question

2. Non-Delivery

If you do not receive your goods within 30 days of dispatch, you must notify us within 40 days of dispatch.

3. Indirect or Consequential Loss

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the goods in question.

4. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These limitations do not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

5. No Third-Party Rights

No provision in these Terms confers any benefit or right on any third party.

9. Force Majeure

We have no liability for any failure or delay in delivering goods, or any damage/defect caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., strikes, lock-outs, natural disasters, war, pandemics, transport disruptions).

10. Complaints

We maintain a complaints procedure to try to resolve disputes promptly.
